Once Upon An Orchestra

Once Upon An Orchestra

Once Upon an Orchestra programs are presented free of charge at SCCT headquarters in downtown Greenville. For each performance, Traysie Amick, Principal Teaching Artist, presents a character performance (complete with costumes) of a children’s book. Her dramatic recitation may include cues for audience members to participate through speech and movement, while the Greenville Symphony Orchestra chamber ensembles perform classical pieces selected by Braxton Ballew for each storybook.

These performances are recommended for grades K3 to 5th grade.
